FamuFest
Visual identity for FamuFest 38, the annual multi-genre film festival run by students of FAMU, made together with Michal Tůma. After a year of online-only screenings, this edition was about the return to actual cinemas. The theme centred on meeting again in person, and the identity pointed straight at that: the physical presence of an audience, sitting shoulder to shoulder, holding hands in the dark.
Hands became the whole language of the identity: intertwined fingers on posters, billboards and citylights, printed on tote bags and beer labels, cast as rings, even glowing pink in the cinema lobby. The photos are of real friends and festival organisers, not models, which kept the whole thing personal rather than staged.
