FUD
A full wayfinding system for the Faculty of Art and Design at UJEP in Ústí nad Labem, a building with dozens of studios, workshops and departments spread across several floors, all needing to read as one system.
The core of it is deliberately austere: one grid, one typeface, numbers and arrows doing the work. Floor directories, door plates and room signage designed to stay out of the way of the art hanging next to them.
The one place it loosens up is the pictograms. Instead of the usual generic set, standard icons are swapped for ones with a bit more personality, small, playful nods to the kind of creativity the building actually houses.
